Ski resort

Pârtia de schi ”Speranţa”

The Ski resort Speranța (The Hope) was conducted under the national program "Ski in Romania", with financial support from the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism.
The investment was inaugurated on December 17, 2010 by Minister Elena Gabriela Udrea. Within the project were completed three ski slopes, as follows: “Speranța” slope  with a length of 680 m which features a night facility, “Verőfény” slope, which is 726 meters long and “Prichindel” slope with a length of 814 m.
Cableway is provided by a Doppelmayr lift installation which has a capacity of 720 persons per hour, the necessary artificial snow is provided from a storage ake of 4000 mc., with two snow guns. Maintenance of slopes is provided by a Formatic hard-packed snow machine. Access to the slopes is achieved through a ticketing system.
On the slopes there is a tourist center where a restaurant is located; here are also found the ticket office, toilet, mountain rescue center, a ski rental office, the garage and storehouse.
In front of this center there is a parking of approx. 100 seats.
After two years of operation, we can say that there is again a winter season in Borsec, tourists' interest towards this ski resort being beyond our expectations - all these attracting the need to develop the complex. After statistics of the ministry, we hold the 5th - 6th  places at country level, given the number of tourists who visited this place.
